Adya Hotel Langkawi

Nothing beats a relaxing vacation when you check-in a hotel that is shariah-compliant. That's one of the foremost important criteria that we look for whenever we choose a hotel. In Malaysia, there are already many hotels with at least a halal status kitchen. As for Adya Hotel, it doesn't just have a halal kitchen. In fact, all aspects of its operation has been holistically guided to provide an essentially Islamic environment.

The moment you enter the hotel, their staff would warmly greet you. They've got separate swimming pools for male and female. They have a gym. Inside your room, you can find a copy of the Holy Qur'an. A qiblah signage and sajdah (prayer mat) is also provided for the convenience of Muslim visitors. All in all, it's a very convenient hotel for Muslim as well as non-Muslim visitors.

The room that we stayed in was quiet comfy; not too big nor too small. You won't find any beer in the fridge. If I can recall, the number of TV channels available is limited. I can only remember that there was a channel for Disney, Fox, and a few others (sorry, my memory isn't that good!). Since we were out most of the time, this wasn't a big deal.

Wide range of food.

Food choices were abundant especially during breakfast. Nasi lemak was there for sure. They have an outdoor stall dedicated for roti canai and all the other types of roti you can think of.

Location-wise, the Adya Hotel is situated very near to the Eagle Square (the Dataran Helang). Plus, if you've ever heard about the famous Haji Ismail Group (HIG) confectionery shop, you'd be glad to know that it's very nearby. The HIG mall is about 5 minutes drive from Adya Hotel. If you're looking for the usual local food like Tom Yam, Nasi Goreng, and the like, there are restaurants opposite the mall. We normally have our dinner here since fast-food restaurants tend to be packed with people during such time.

If Langkawi's your next visit and you're looking for a convenient and friendly service near the Kuah township, we definitely recommend this hotel. We're also looking forward to another stay soon!
